Vans has been the classic skate shoe since 1966. Thankfully, a lot of sh*t has changed since then. Now more than ever, women are showing up at skate parks to shred, and Vans wants to show how their new Pro-Classic line is supportive of female pros.

Nowadays one in four skaters is female but some skaters guys are stuck in the past. They still mansplain while skater girls roll their eyes and continue to improve at pro levels. 

That’s why Vans Pro Classics is lashing back with girlsplaining. Because it doesn’t matter what’s between your legs, Vans just wants you to skate. 

#GIRLSPLAIN Stickers — Some things in skate culture never change– skaters love stickers, and they love to stick them everywhere. So to get the message out, we’ll slap Girlsplain stickers at skater hangouts all around the city.

Instagram Sticker — Vans will ask bad-ass skater girls to share their moves on IG stories using the #GIRSLPLAIN sticker which will then be queued first for sharing. This will help highlight the pro-level skills of skaters girls.

#GIRLSPLAIN Shoe — For the duration of the campaign, Vans will offer #GIRLSPLAIN designs as one of the custom templates usable with their custom shoe designer online.
